Dip-Tech presents Dip-Energy at Academic Conference – Engineered Transparency Conference

Over 200 speakers and specialists from 25 countries gathered at Engineered Transparency International conference in Dusseldorf, Germany, September 20 and 21 2016, to learn more about the novel developments and advancements available to the glass industry.

During this year’s conference, Dip-Tech, a pioneer in digital glass printing for over a decade, was proud to present its latest innovation “Dip-Energy – Glass Energy Performance Calculator for Dip-Tech Printed Glass” by Dorit Regev, R&D software and IT director at Dip-Tech.

 Dorit Regev had enjoyed this opportunity to introduce the Dip-Energy tool, which was recognized by Glass Magazine as “Most Innovative Web Tool“ in 2016.

We’ve asked Dorit to share with us her experience at this important conference:

“I had the honor to introduce Dip-Energy, Glass Energy Performance Calculator Tool, to an audience of scientists and researchers from around the world.  The tool is designed to evaluate the energy performance of glass printed with Dip-Tech digital ceramic inks, as early as the design stage, even before printing, and in order to avoid expensive mistakes and fit to regulations. We are proud to have had the opportunity to introduce this tool which we believe will play an important role in the future of concept, design and implementation of glass projects.”


“Dip-Energy is a web based assessment tool, which quickly evaluates the energy performance of Dip­Tech printed glass in the planning stage. By presenting it to this group of professionals we were able to show the strong technical empirical base behind the tool and to present the innovation in combining Color Management concepts, Ink performance calculation, Web-software infrastructure and Berkeley Lab glazing formulas.”

We were curious to learn what was the incentive to develop such tool:

“Due to increased interest in energy efficient architecture using digitally-printed glass, Dip-Tech developed Dip­Energy.  Our goal was to answer a need presented by the industry; that is to enable architects & designers to save energy through their final projects.”
